R.E.M. remain one of the world’s most enigmatic rock bands. With a string of peerless albums running through the 80s and 90s; one eye on the underground and one eye on the soaring chorus; it’s safe to say we will never see their like again.

‘Stipe’ have become one of the UK’s best-loved tribute bands, developing a loyal following of fellow fans of R.E.M. They continue to play in venues across the UK, Ireland and parts of Europe, and have even reached as far as Australia, where they completed a 5-date tour in 2025.

First established in 1996, the band have developed over time, with singer Richard Southern a constant since the start. His homage to Michael Stipe’s voice and enigmatic performance style continues to impress audiences,. The band pride themselves on replicating the experience of seeing R.E.M. live - bringing energy, power and emotion to songs that continue to stand the test of time.
